Founded 1982 - Originally Formed in 1912

We are The Waterloo and Crosby Theatre Company.

Our company formed back in 1982 when Waterloo and Crosby Amateur Operatic Society and the Cambridge Players merged to become one all-singing, all-dancing community theatre group.

The Waterloo & Crosby Amateur Operatic Society was originally formed in 1912. As such in 2022 the society celebrated an amazing 110 years of performing for the local community (40 years as the newly created society you know today)

Since we were established in 1912, we have performed between one and three shows every year, apart from the years between 1940 to 1946 due to the war, and in recent years as a result of the Covid Pandemic.

We are based in the Crosby/Waterloo area of Liverpool and we produce musicals, plays, pantomimes, concerts and youth shows all over Sefton.

We have a wide range of members aged between 9 and 85. Children are sometimes involved in our adult productions, but we also have a youth group for our younger members. We are a charitable organisation and are always looking to further develop our links within the local community.
